07.06.2019

The project team of the Knowledge Alliance for Upskilling Europe's SMEs to Meet The Challenges of Smart Engineering has gathered in Perugia, Italy for the penultimate project meeting. The focus was on the application of the products developed in the project and the organisation of the final conference.

The members of the Knowledge Alliance for Upskilling Europe's SMEs to Meet The Challenges of Smart Engineering (short: SMeART) project consortium met in the premises of the Tiber Umbria Comett Education Programme (TUCEP) from June 4th to June 6th to discuss the progress of the last months in the individual project countries. The partners had already started the implementation of consulting projects in January and tested the solutions developed in the project. Within the course of the meeting it was now possible to compare the collected feedback. For example, in the case of the tool developed to determine the degree of maturity of companies with regard regarding Smart Engineering, optimisation potentials could be identified.

A visit to the Umbra Group was also part of the meeting. The company has developed into a player with impressive significance in the aerospace industry. Smart engineering is a key factor here.

In view of the work already done, all partners are very optimistic for the last six months of the project.
On December 3rd the public will have the chance to get a detailed insight into the project results during the final project conference.
