October 16 – 18, 2017: SMeART team visits the Stora Enso Langerbrugge in Gent

How can smart technologies be successfully implemented in the production process? These and other questions were discussed in Gent, Belgium, during the SMeART visit of the SMeART team to the Stora Enso Langerbrugge, which is specialized in producing newsprint exclusively from recycled paper and considered a best practice example of a smart factory in the region. Key factors for this success are a maximal usage of new technologies and ‘smart’ employees!
